Mayor Jeong's latest move can be interpreted as showing his strong will to make Hwaseong City, which has the largest number of manufacturers (about 27,000) in Gyeonggi-do, a good city for business and to foster unicorn companies.
First, the agreement to build a Technopol bio cluster includes ▲joint cooperation for the development of the bio industry in Hwaseong City ▲establishment of a network for the development of the bio industry ▲technical cooperation and human exchange to cultivate professional manpower ▲creation of a virtuous cycle ecosystem for research and development.
Through this agreement, Mayor Jeong plans to expand and build a Hwaseong-type technopole bio cluster linked with industry, academia, research institutes, and hospitals in the future, and to continue cooperation to foster talent in the bio field and strengthen industrial competitiveness.
